TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- A new exhibit is opening at the Historic Capitol Museum that's 30 years in the making!

It's Driving Florida's Image: The 1985 License Plate Contest. Back in 1985, Floridians were asked what should the state's new license plate look like. The response was huge, and now more than 3,500 contest entries are on display for the first time, until September 27.

Tiffany Baker, Museum Coordinator Tiffany Baker joined us on WTXL Midday to talk about the upcoming exhibit and what people can expect. Click the thumbnail to watch the interview.

Driving Florida's Image: The 1985 License Plate Contest exhibit is at the Historic Capitol Museum (400 S. Monroe St.) The opening celebration is Thursday, May 28 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., and is free to take part.
