TALLAHASSEE, FL - A local moving and storage company. along with the Tallahassee Police Department and America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend are making sure the community is fed this summer.
Gloria Pugh and Jessica Cary came on Sunrise to talk about the fundraiser with WTXL's Christine Souders.
"Fill-A-Truck Food and Fund Drive" is happening Thursday starting at 11:30 p.m. at 277 N. Magnolia Drive.
Donations go to America's Second Harvest of the Big Bend.
People are encouraged to stop by and donate non-perishable food items, including canned items, peanut butter and more.
Monetary donations are also encourage.
Organizers say a single dollar can be used to make a meal for 8 people.
Last year, the fundraiser colllected $10,330 in monetary donations and 8,426 pounds of food.
