TALLAHASSEE, FL. (WTXL)-- Another COCA Connection, where we highlight arts and culture in the community. This week's edition focuses on the SOUP Experimental art gallery and it's founder, Ashton Bird.
Bird founded the gallery SOUP Experimental in 2016. The exhibit is an opportunity for emerging contemporary artists in the surrounding area to showcase their work.
His artwork has been exhibited in Minnesota, South Dakota, Ohio, Florida, Washington D.C. and Seoul, South Korea. He graduated from Minnesota State University-Mankato with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Studio Art with concentrations in ceramics and printmaking.
Currently, Bird is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts Degree at Florida State University.
