CHATTAHOOCHEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The City of Chattahoochee is ready for an Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration!

That's the annual Independence Day party that's lasting all day long on Saturday with those traditional summer staples on the schedule. There's contests for a sack race, watermelon eating and seed spitting, and hula hoops. A water slide will also be set up and rides on a 1928 firetruck. Plus, live music and food.

Ben Chandler, Executive Director of Chattahoochee Main Street, joined us on WTXL Sunrise for all the details. Click the thumbnail to see the interview.

The Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration is Saturday, July 4. Everything starts at 11 a.m. and ends with the fireworks display at dusk.

The festivities are at the River Landing Park (269 River Landing Road) in Chattahoochee. Cost is $5 per vehicle or $1 per person for walk-ins.
