DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Prosecutors are asking a judge to send back to jail a South Carolina woman who drove her three young children into the Daytona Beach surf two years ago.
Ebony Wilkerson was found not guilty of child abuse by reason of insanity, and has been receiving mental health treatment at a facility in Lake Wales.
The motion filed Tuesday by the State's Attorney's office says the request for jail was triggered by an episode at the facility. But the document is heavily redacted, so key details are not available. It's unclear what treatment she might get in jail.
Beach goers rescued the family after Wilkerson drove her minivan into the ocean in March 2014.
