TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Anti-abortion forces in the Florida Legislature are once again advancing proposals that they say are aimed at protecting women's health and safety, but that opponents say aim to deny access to abortions.

One proposal would ban Medicaid payments for any service to clinics where abortions are performed. Another measure would require hospital admitting privileges for doctors who perform abortions. Lawmakers will also consider whether to toughen building codes for clinics.

If any measure passes, it will likely face a legal challenge.

A law passed last year requiring a 24-hour waiting period for an abortion hasn't gone into effect because of a legal challenge.
