Tallahassee, FL (WTXL)--47 million people in the United States do not have health insurance. That's why FSU students are raising awareness of the issue and what can be done for local uninsured residents.

Students at the college of medicine have several events in store for Cover the Uninsured week including a little jeopardy. Their mission includes raising support for legislation on health insurance and support for community places to help local residents. Students want to promote what is currently available for people who are not covered with a health insurance plan.

FSU students will give blood pressure screenings and educate uninsured residents of services available that will happen Sunday at the Goodwill on Maybry and the Dollar Tree on Capitol Circle south east from 12 to 4pm.
